Prayer for our schools

Good afternoon!

I pray this email finds you doing well. I want to welcome the many new people who decided this past Sunday to join our “Partners in Prayer” group. I firmly believe that God still honors the prayers of those that make the time to talk to Him on behalf of themselves and of others. What a privilege we have to come to God in prayer, knowing He wants to hear from us!

More than ever our schools need our prayers. Students coming from difficult situations, cuts in funding, bullying, violence, peer pressure, addiction, increased suicide rates among our young people are just some of the reasons we should be diligent in our prayer for our schools. So, let’s begin this week by praying for our students, teachers, administrators, and staff that they can:

  • Deal with stress in healthy ways
  • Make good decisions
  • Be forgiving
  • Be kind and loving
  • Be thankful
  • Have energy and joy
  • Work with excellence
  • Be thoughtful of other people
  • Do the right thing, even if others aren’t
  • Get help when they are hurting
  • Come to know Jesus

The above are just a few prayer points to get us going. Let us be persistent in our prayer and let’s believe that God is able to do more than we can ever hope for or imagine!

1 John 5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

Thanks for standing in the gap for our schools!
