Doing Life Together

A Home Team is a committed group of believers, sharing life together, devoted to mutual care, spiritual growth and outreach.

We exist to help people live life together, grow together and serve God together. Our groups provide people with intimate family environments where ministry flows from relational connections.

Through Home Teams, individuals regularly gather outside of our weekend church services in Home Team environments and engage in a lifestyle of authentic community and spiritual growth.

People that come to a Harvest Chapel Home Team should come with a desire to grow in Jesus Christ. It is expected that you will make a commitment to attend and participate in the life of the Home Team through the term for each group.

Each group is a place for honesty and openness, which is part of being in a community. Tied to this is the need for confidentiality within the group, this helps create a safe place for Christians to come together and live this life of community.

What goes on in a Home Team?

There is always the question of what goes on at a Home Team. Each group meeting consists of the following activities:

  • Opening Fellowship (15 minutes)
  • Bible Application and Message Discussion (30 minutes)
  • Accountability and Prayer - men together, women together (30 minutes)
  • Closing Fellowship (15 minutes)

Each Home Team will meet 3 times a month, for 3 month terms. This will make it easy get new people involved at convenient intervals.

During each 3 month term the Home Team will also be involved in 1 community service activity, it is critical for Christians to serve others. The typical size of a Home Team is between 8 to 12 individuals.

These Home Teams are open to adults of all ages, no matter whether they are married or single, and all places in life.

What about childcare?

For those with children each Home Team provides something special for them to be involved while the adults are attending the meeting.

Providing Community
